Thibault Cauvin, guitar

Spivey Hall Debut

“Just incredible,” proclaims the Los Angeles Times, “don’t miss him!”

French guitarist Thibault Cauvin “brims with youthful bravura but also understands the importance of restraint and control of color….He affirmed himself with a surprising maturity as a technically adroit and highly musical player who’s also blessed with open ears” (Los Angeles Times). “Thibault proved not only to be a world-class guitarist; he is also quite a showman” (Soundboard).

A peripatetic artist, Thibault Cauvin — the man of “1 guitar, 13 first prizes, 1000 concerts, 130 countries”  — continues his extraordinary multi-year world journey to make his Atlanta debut at Spivey Hall.

He will perform selections from his  recent CD release, Le Voyage d’Albeniz, featuring music by legendary Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz, whose works are central to the celebrated Spanish school of classical guitar playing, and that define this honored tradition.  Selections from this CD and an interview are available at (click on link below).

Mr. Cauvin will introduce his program from the stage, offering commentary on his chosen works — which in the intimacy of Spivey Hall’s superb acoustics forges an even stronger connection between artist and audience, making the listening experience memorable and enjoyable.  He will also greet audience members following his performance.
