OurSong: The Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chorus
Dr. Robert Glor, conductor

OurSong, the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chorus, presents STARS, a musical
tribute to those who have championed human rights, as well as to the stars who are no longer
living but continue to shine brightly in the heavens.

Dedicated to performing high-quality music while celebrating the uniqueness of gay and lesbian experience, OurSong provides a visible presence in Atlanta and positive voice for its LGBTQA communities.  Singing music both serious and light-hearted, OurSong enriches the lives of its members and its audiences alike.

In addition to guest chamber ensemble and organist, OurSong is honored to present Dr. Wanda
Yang Temko as soloist, described by critics as having “simply unbelievable vocal power and
control,” and “a winning stage personality.”

OurSong is excited to open with its first extended work, Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest, which includes organ, chamber ensemble, and soprano soloist.

The second half of the concert honors those who have helped in the struggle for human rights.
Selections include popular, folk, and freedom music, and among those honored are Martin Luther
King, Jr., Mother Teresa, and Harvey Milk.
