Season Opening Celebration

What more glorious sound than the majesty of organ and voice? Two Grammy Award winning artists unite to open Spivey Hall’s 25th Anniversary Season. An Atlanta favorite, Christine Brewer commands a dramatic soprano “of rare luxury and power, at once silken, roaring, luminous” (Atlanta Journal-Constitution). Paul Jacobs is hailed as “one the most supremely gifted organists of his generation” (Chicago Tribune) and “one of the major musicians of our time” (The New Yorker).
