Joshua Bell has captured the public's attention like no other classical violinist of his time. "Bell," proclaims Gramophone, "is dazzling." His inter-pretations of a wide repertoire are as compelling as his performances are exciting. With his frequent recital partner, "the excellent pianist Jeremy Denk" (The New York Times), superstar Joshua Bell makes an eagerly-awaited return to Spivey Hall.
"Bell's tone is a thing of rare beauty, and he plays with such warmth and refinement that you wish the phrases would last longer." The Seattle Times
American pianist Jeremy Denk has steadily established himself as one of the most versatile and compelling artists of his generation. In praise of a recent concert, The Washington Post observed: “What made his performance so compelling was the intelligence, lyricism and transparency that illuminated everything he touched.”
Recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, he has appeared as soloist with the major orchestras of Philadelphia, St. Louis, Houston, San Francisco, and Atlanta, as well as with New York’s Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. In a rich variety of repertoire spanning several centuries, he has collaborated with distinguished colleagues at concert venues and festivals throughout the United States and Europe, including a long series of performances with violinist Joshua Bell.
